We were lucky enough to catch a screening of the film Inequality For All and interview the film’s director, Jacob Kornbluth, and star of the film Robert Reich.
Usvsfilm: So I really appreciated the movie guys. I thought that it did a very good job at telling a more depressing story, but in a very positive light and kept optimism the whole time. How did Inequality For All start for you guys?
We were lucky to catch a screening of the film A Teacher and interview the film’s director, Hannah Fidell, and stars of the film Lindsay Burdge and Will Brittain.
Usvsfilm: So before we start, I just wanted to say that I really liked the film and congratulations.
Hannah: Thank You.
Usvsfilm: This film felt so natural and spontaneous watching it. I really felt intrusive on Grace and Mason and other characters of the film, but as a writer and director do you stick mainly to the script entirely or was there room for improvisation?
Destin: I encouraged the idea of looseness and creating room for spontaneous reactions to things. I’m not interested in anybody saying exactly what I’ve written. I’m always hoping that its always going to be better than what I wrote. At the same time this isn’t an improvised movie. Everything is quite structured and pretty true to the script that was written.
